Cookie Policy

One cookie, and what else we keep in your browser.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of any kind, and we do not share anything with advertisers. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything: the law requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary, and we do not set any.

The one cookie we set

  • pixeraa_session — set when you sign in, so the site knows it is still you on the next page. It expires after 30 days, or when you sign out. Your browser will not let any script read it, and it is only ever sent to this site.

What we keep in your browser’s own storage

These are not cookies and are never sent to us — they stay on your device so the site does not lose your place:

  • the page to return you to after signing in, or after paying;
  • the credit bundle you picked before being asked to make an account;
  • a token that keeps an unfinished project yours before you have an account;
  • whether you have already been shown a particular prompt, so it is not repeated.

Clearing your browsing data removes all of it. Nothing breaks; you may be signed out and have to pick up where you left off manually.

Cookies set by others

  • Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our sign-up forms to tell a person from a bot. It receives your IP address. It is a security measure, which is what makes it strictly necessary.
  • Stripe sets cookies on Stripe’s own checkout page when you pay. That page is Stripe’s, not ours, and its cookies are covered by Stripe’s own policy.
  • Google or Apple, only if you choose to sign in with one of them, and only on their own sign-in page.

Turning them off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking ours means you cannot stay signed in, so you will not be able to buy credits, download a portrait or place an order.

If we ever add analytics or anything else that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this page. See the Privacy Policy for what Pixeraa does with personal data generally.
